Template books let you pick a skin tone and type a name onto pre-drawn art. Once Books generates original illustrations from your child’s actual likeness, in any story and art style, with the same character on every page.
Most “personalised” books are one fixed story with swappable hair and a name — the child picks options, but never actually sees themselves. Once Books builds the art around your child from their reference images, so it’s their face, not a preset, and the story and style are yours to choose. Keeping that likeness recognisable across the whole book is the hard part, and it’s what we built the product around.
